Converting Apple Alias Files to Hardlinks

When I have migrated to iPhoto I've unselected the option which allows iPhoto to copy all imported photos into its library. Since I didn't know how reliable the iPhoto is and since I wanted to control my physical photo library by myself, it was enough to let iPhoto know about all my photos without touching them. However now, after I'm using iPhoto for 5 months and know that it is a very good photo manager I would like to have all of my photos in the iPhoto library. Unfortunatelly, there is no official way to do so for the already imported photos. The imported photos are placed in the iPhoto library (usually ~/Pictures/iPhoto Library) as apple-aliases (they are not not the same as unix soft & hard links) in the Originals folder. I've found a way how to convert apple aliases to hardlinks, and used it to write a Perl-script for this task.
The code below this page should be copied into a file. e.g. aliases2orig and used as simple as that:
aliases2orig path
Here, path is a path to a folder containing only other folders and/or alias files. The script goes through the folder recursively and replaces all alias files by hardlinks to the originals. Which means, after such conversion, the original files can be deleted.
After the conversion, you should rebuilt the iPhoto library: quit iPhoto and restart pressing the command and option keys.

Last week I got my new MacBook Alu and switched to it from Hackintosh. I also found a use for the Ubuntu CD :-) (try to find it on the photo).
Körperwelten

Yesterday I've visited a famous exhibition
Körperwelten, which is opened in in a beautiful city Heidelberg right now. But to be honest, I should say that I wasn't really impressed by this bodies, which look like they aren't real, like they are plastic... As I was a child, me and my friends have discovered an amputated arm in a crematorium of a neighbouring hospital... THAT was a shocking impression! :-)
And this is the Train Station of Heidelberg.
